Jake came to us from our" Ben's" sister "Cassidy" ( Ch.Majorhausen's Pride of Canyon , CD)  Owned by Jean Bisop of Cleveland ,Ohio.& Bali Hai Stables ....
At the time of his litter, we were not looking for another addition to our dog family..  But a few weeks after the Cassidy X Magnum litter was born . I kept getting all of these  very sweet puppy pictures to look at from our friends in Ohio.  
 
"Look" they would say.. "Thats Mr Blue, isnt he cute".........   "Check out his nice show stand" .......... "What a cute face..dont you think?"
Well...the pictures would come like clockwork. Every Monday... new pics of Mr Blue...  Each with a little message .... "Pick Me"......"Im your new Boy"........."How can you resist"?
Over and over I would tell them.. No..NO . I dont want another puppy right now. Later..later...I would tell them.

 Week eight finally arrived. One of our friends had gone down to Ohio, along with Pat Major(Majorhausen Rottweilers) to pick out a new agility puppy for herself. That afternoon we got a phone call from them.  Telling us that he was their pick for a show dog and that I should take him. And if i didnt that some people would be coming over the next day and that they wanted a show pup too.. This time I said ok," BUT I will talk it over with Ken and give you my answer tonight." So we talked about it for a few hours and I finally called them with my answer... "No" I said.. I dont want another puppy right now" And they sadly said they understood.

Well....... ALL night I thought about him. I kept seeing his face in my mind. Over and over again.. When morning came I was beside myself on the decision I had made hours earlier.  That morning  I called Jean back again, to her surprize. I said to her ..."ok since Lily and Pat are with you, put me on the speaker phone so that I can ask all of you an important question about Mr Blue."  So I asked them..... " If you ladies had to "Bet" your life, on what puppy in this litter would be the show pick. Which pup would you pick???  They all  replied at the same time......MR BLUE!!!      Ok , I said and laughed  "Well if you all really beleive that, then his name will be "Bali Hai's Bet'In on Me..... " Just as a reminder to all of you that you bet on him.  ...."So wrap him up and bring him back to Ottawa."  And that is how we got our Jake..
